CHINA - How do we stop it?

China's relentless power grab and greed.  How safe is Australia and it's neighbours?

 

China's military might grows and the rest of the world should be paying attention

China's relationship with the world is basically one of contempt. It has no morals or scruples and it appears that it is willing to commit any atrocity for it's own gains.

I don't think there is any doubt that all nations should be greatly concerned with China's plans for expanding and taking control of new territories.

It's support of North Korea and the like says it all. With Tibet and Hong Kong prime examples as well as their latest atrocities in the South China Sea, it seems the rest of the world is afraid to take action against them let alone condemn them in fear of China's response. They have openly said they will take control of Taiwan again and only yesterday recalled their ambassador to Lithuania for them allowing Taiwan to have it's own office there in it's own name.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry statement called on Lithuania to “immediately rectify its wrong decision, take concrete measures to undo the damage, and not to move further down the wrong path.”

Well done Lithuania. If only Australia had a similar pair and followed suit.

China Upholds Death Sentence for Canadian Man

Yesterday also saw China's court uphold a Canadian man's death sentence for drug smuggling. He was arrested following a Huawei executive being detained in Canada, which saw two Canadian businessmen arrested in China in retaliation. One of the men was originally given a 15 year sentence yet on appeal he was subsequently condemned to death by a Chinese court which was confirmed again on appeal and announced yesterday.

Why aren't Chinese Australians standing up and condemning China over it's brutal treatment of anyone who dares to stand up to their bullying. With at least a million Chinese living here in Australia it would be comforting to know that their allegiances actually lie with Australia and not China.

China has showed that the lives of ordinary people have no importance to them in their quest for global power and will not hesitate to crush anyone or any country for that matter should they dare to oppose the direction the Chinese leadership has chosen to go.

Maybe the only real solution to China's threat to the “free world” is to form a trade agreement with all major countries and exclude China from being part of it. Take away their money and we take away their power or is that being too simplistic? Maybe so but should China lose the ability to trade with the rest of the world or at least the major countries of the world then I don't think they would be anywhere near the threat they are now and believe this, they are a threat and I fear for our children as I truly believe that our future could see the Chinese machine simply walk right into Australia and take it from under our noses.

You think that's impossible? Twenty years ago we had eight oil refineries around the country and now we have only two and they are struggling. How difficult would it be for China to stop the supply of oil and fuel to Australia from the likes of Singapore?  Not too hard I would think. It is estimated that our fuel supply would dry up within 30 days if fuel imports ceased. How could we run a defence force without any fuel?

But then that's yet another story. The truth is what's happening to our country is a joke and what China is getting away with is an even bigger joke except no-one is laughing (except China that is.)
